SIX DAYS, SEVEN NIGHTS LETTER

Dear Steve,

I would like to personally thank you for the outstanding work you did on Disney’s “Six Days, Seven Nights.” The aerial sequences you directed were consistently spectacular and were a marvelous contribution to the look and feel of the film.

Your management and coordination of the entire aerial unit was equally impressive. From the initial purchase of our numerous picture aircraft to their eventual disposition, I especially appreciated your concern for budget. On numerous occasions you presented cogent options for major cost savings. In one instance, your suggestion to change our schedule and move one of the crash sequences to the end the shoot, saved the studio well over one-hundred thousand dollars in additional aircraft acquisition costs.

You constantly amazed me with your ability to quickly coordinate the massive helicopter lifts that became necessary to move the entire cast and crew, plus several tons of production equipment, to numerous remote and otherwise inaccessible location sites on Kauai.

Last, but not least, your constant concerns for safety during the many intricate flyng and crash sequences you flew, choreographed and directed were greatly appreciated by the studio, cast and crew.

I look forward to the pleasure of working with you again.

Sincerely,

Gordon Webb,
Producer
